Have you ever had an idea or a goal, you were so excited to start and work on it, but on the way, you lost motivation?
This is a moment where you feel trapped and don't want to move. And when you keep procrastinating, you end up feeling stressed that nothing is working out in your life.
The stages a person goes through in pursuing their dreams
Many of us go through this phase in our lives, especially if you are a goal-oriented individual chasing dreams. It needs to be realized, there are 3 steps that successful people take in reaching their dreams:
1. Early Stage - at this stage we have a lot of energy because we are still excited about our dreams and our goals turn into reality. We try to set plans and targets, use different kinds of analysis to form big plans.
2. Process Stage - in accounting we refer to this stage as "work in progress". This means work has started but is still not finished. This is the most difficult stage because the hard work is done here. Persistence and discipline are very important at this stage.
When I realized it, this is the stage that separates the dreamer from the doer. The dreamer only dreams of a better future but does nothing. Doers dream of a better future and keep working.
The process stage is when the dreamer tends to give up at the sight of the hard work to be done. And this is the stage that you are probably facing right now. If you persist and resist the urge to give up at this stage, you can become a doer and make it to the final stage.
3. Repair - At this point the work has been completed and you are now just monitoring and enjoying the results again.
I also have to struggle to lose motivation while achieving my dreams. I want to share with you how I turned my motivation back into being motivated again.
How do you push yourself to see how much work you want to get done? Here are some practical tips on how to generate lost motivation:
1. Create a Dream Board
A dream board is a picture or narrative of your goals in life. That's the reason why you want to work and live your time now. Paint a dream that you most want to achieve in your life and display it in your bedroom.
Make it a habit every night before bed and morning after waking up to see your dream board. Use it as motivation or a reminder to take action and keep up the spirit in carrying out activities.
2. Don't be rushed
Personally, as goal-driven people, we tend to be rushed. We always feel like we only have a limited amount of time, so we have to act fast and tend to be impatient. But this turned out to be not the best thing to do
This will drain energy and can also damage your relationships with other people. Set clear and realistic deadlines. Then act according to the deadlines you have set. Stay calm and consistently take action but don't rush it.
3. Let It Slow Origin Sure
Get in the habit of working on your goals every day, no matter how slow you move, you keep moving. Because moving slowly it's better not to do anything.
The importance of moving every day is the momentum and habit that you can build in achieving something. Same thing with the term "Putting Water into a Bottle"
4. Concentration
Another important motivation when chasing dreams is not to do too many things or create many things at the same time. Sure, it can give you time and energy, but it's only self-defeating. Why?
Because when you try to do so many things at the same time, it drains energy and only achieves sub-optimal results. When your energy is drained. You lose motivation and start feeling lazy and depressed. Now believe that concentration and focus are the keys to productivity and not the skills of multi-tasking work.
5. Take a break first
Set a time of day to rest even if it's only a few minutes or an hour. During this pause, stay away from people, computers, cell phones or any device. Shut up and don't do anything.
Or if you can, sleep on it. Relax your brain, body and emotions. You can add breathing exercises or meditation. This habit is able to increase work productivity better.
Conclusion
In fact, in psychology, motivation is defined as a process consisting of several stages, namely the stage of starting and determining the behavior to achieve a goal.
So if we are motivated to do something or a goal, then never give up!
No matter how slow you walk, you are still in front of those who are lying on the sofa and doing nothing. Just keep going drive until you show that your dreams come true.
